::17/09/06::
I'm now in the process of creating a new forum using paid-hosting under the domain name of www.planetrollcage.com instead of that rubbish free forum hosting site. In the meantime feel free to email me at admin @ planetrollcage.com (remove spaces)

Right. I just spotted that the forum has been hacked. I'm not sure how long ago this happened because its been a while since I last logged in. Anyway, I'm looking into whether I can get it restored. I'll also have a think about whether to move it permanently elsewhere. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Well Planet Rollcage has been going almost 5 years now. Perhaps its looking a bit old now, so I intend to give it a facelift when I find some spare time...

Rollcage 1 patch version 1.0b now available in the downloads section.

::12/11/04::
Quite a useful little update to the website.. For those of you wondering what all the fuss is about; visit the download page now to grab a full copy of Rollcage 1 for yourselves (requires bittorrent and ideally broadband connection).

The forum has returned!
Panic over... for now. I will probably look for a way to back some things up though, just in case.

Once again I must apologise as the forum is still down. Its a worrying sign that the host, www.phpbb-host.org, has been unreachable for days. I know its particularly annoying for those who registered with the board, and its just as frustrating for me, especially because this has happened before. If it turns out that all the posts and registration details have been lost, I will need to give a lot of thought to the next step. There may be other free forum hosts available, but I don't want to risk another repeat of what has happened before, and a paid host is a big step to take (relatively).
update: in the meantime I have yet another alternative forum here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/tristanm81/phpbb2/
its slightly different because I have more control over the forum (eg I think I can backup the data for this one) and the host is much more reliable, but its still a free host, so I don't expect it to be a long-term solution. Don't bother registering yet unless you really want to, but please go ahead and post your thoughts.
TNM.

New page added
A new screenshots page has been added to the site. The first batch of screens comes courtesy of Servant Of Neoto City.

FORUM CHAOS: Apologies for all the forum trouble lately. The free host I was using basically lost everything... I've signed up with a different host, you can read a bit more about it in the new forum.
I've also been a bit busy lately on other things. I moved house the other week and was without an internet connection for quite a while. I've also got a project on at the moment that kind of requires a lot of attention.
Anyway.. Please don't feel that I've lost interest in this website, its just that its quite tough to allocate time to it everyday :)
NOTE:I've noticed that there is a problem with the CJB.NET redirecting service I am using. It causes the forum to behave oddly. Therefore I advise you to access the forum by pasting this address in the address bar
smf/

That should avoid the problems. Apologies again for the hassle.

Lap records for Rollcage 1 are now available... Please let me know your best times in the forum. If the time seems to good to be true, you can take a screenshot by pressing F11 while in the game.

A couple of links to Amazon UK have been added - this is mostly because I noticed that Rollcage Stage II is available for only £3 at the moment!! I reckon thats definately a real bargain.
Also, I would welcome contributions to the guide section of the website if anyone is interested. There is plenty more to write about, eg cars, tracks etc. Post a message in the forum if you are interested.

I have created a new forum - its still hosted, but its a bit better than the old one. The old messageboard link will remain for a while, but I would rather people visited the "forum" now instead.
Also, I've changed server (to get rid of the ads!). The website is now hosted by my ISP. The original tripod location is now just forwarding, so that when finding my site through Google you can still get to the right place. Of course http://rollcage.cjb.net will always get you to the right place as well.
